Americans Live To Be Scammed

We live in a society where everyone wants instant gratification and to get rich quick. Instant gratification and getting rich, however do not happen in the real world. True gratification and wealth acquisition occurs over years of hard work. There are many failures along the way, however each serves as a lesson making the entrepreneurs road stronger and more experienced. Americans are so easily scammed because Americans are lazy and seek to get rich quick. When Americans hear opportunities to invest with money managers with stellar records that have not lost money even in down markets they eagerly and blindly give their money away. There is no money manager throughout a 20 year career that can consistently earn 10-12 percent each year. It does not happen, cannot happen and should be an immediate indication of fraudulent activity. It's a crime what happened to the victims of Bernie Madoff, but in many ways it was the greed of the investor that got them there. We must continue to work hard and build a solid foundation, learning from our mistakes to achieve true wealth. The irony is, you will be perceived as an overnight success despite the long road you traveled to achieve that success.
